Stephen Nichols (born 18 June 1963) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Geelong in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1980s.
Nichols spent two seasons at Geelong but didn't play much football with the seniors and instead was restricted to the reserves. He was a centre half forward in their 1982 reserves premiership.
He then made a name for himself playing for Woodville in the SANFL, after being recommended to the club by fellow Tasmanian interstate footballer Darryl Sutton. The full-forward won the Ken Farmer Medal twice, with 103 goals in both 1986 and 1988. In between he kicked 108 goals in the 1987 season but North Adelaide's John Roberts managed three more. He represented Tasmania at the 1988 Adelaide Bicentennial Carnival and kicked six goals against the Northern Territory.
